You are invited to come along to Visit Highworth on the first Saturday of each month between 11am and 1pm and meet some of the artists and crafters whose work we sell. It is totally free to attend, watch and chat to the makers.

Ann March - local artist

Come and meet local artist Ann March in conjunction with the exhibition of her work on show at VHL during August and September.

Drop in anytime between 11am and 1pm to chat to Ann about her work and find out about her art practice, maybe commission something special in time for Christmas.

ARTIST of the MONTH

There are many talented artists that display their work in the VHL centre. As a new feature this year we have an additional hanging wall were we will exhibit the work of an individual artist each month.

Ann March

Exhibition

During August and September VHL will host an exhibtion featuring the work of popular Highworth artist Ann March. Her signature style centers around highly detailed, traditional watercolour and pastel paintings. More recently Ann has expanded her traditional figurative boundaries. Lately, She has been exploring printmaking, collage, and more abstract work using acrylics and mixed media.

We are lucky to be able to draw on the talents of our local artists and artisans to provide a varied range of workshops and classes at our Arts and Crafts Centre in the VHL Shop. Events will be available throughout the year. Early booking is advised as places are limited.

Paint and Prosecco

Watercolour Workshop

Join Artist Christine Purdy to create your very own watercolour painting.
Grab a paintbrush in one hand and a glass of Prosecco in the other and start painting. All materials provided & no experience required. Places are limited so early booking is advised.

MINI MAKES at VHL

For those who would like a shorter day time event, to come along and get an introduction to a new craft or hobby, we are pleased to offer a varied range of afternoon Mini Make sessions at our Arts and Crafts Centre in the VHL Shop. Events will be available throughout the year. Early booking is advised as places are limited.

Brewery Street Buskers

The Brewery Street Buskers will be performing a Gig for Visit Highworth at the Community Centre on Saturday 26th September.

VHL CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR

On 28 November, as part of the Tree Lighting Celebrations celebrations, Visit Highworth are running a Craft Fair in St. Michael's Church.

VHL Christmas Craft Fair

Visit Highworth will be showcasing locally made arts and crafts in the lovely venue of St Michael's Church, just a step off the High Street. The event coincides with the Highworth Town Council Christmas Lights Event in the Market Square and along the High Street.
