The Goldfinger Tavern

The Goldfinger Tavern is busy and friendly local estate pub. It’s a friendly family run pub with all the Ales, Beers, Spirits and Wines you would expect to find. Pool & Darts, Large screen TV's and a quieter dining area too. The pub has Cask Marque accreditation. Bingo on Wednesday & Saturday nights, monthly music events and occasional quiz nights. There are often BBQs on Bank Holidays and the large garden gives a good view of the International Air Tattoo at nearby RAF Fairford.

Historic Interest: Opened in 1971 and named in honour of a James Bond villian. James Bond creator Ian Fleming lived nearby at Sevenhampton.

The King and Queen Inn

The King and Queen Inn, located on the High Street, is the oldest pub in Highworth. This is a large rambling pub with a right of way through it. There is a bar in the centre and separate rooms all around it. There are plenty of TV screens showing live sports and often live music on the weekends.

The Rose and Crown

The Rose and Crown is a very popular traditional pub offering real Ales, homecooked breakfast and lunches and a warm welcome! This Free House is one of the oldest pubs in Highworth. The inside features wooden beams decorated with old adverting signs, and a Penny-farthing, on the walls. Occasional folk sessions are hosted. At the back there is a large garden with a Boules pitch.

Historic Interest: The earliest known property deed is dated 1768, when it was sold for £25, including its brewhouse. Ushers bought it in 1991. A free House since June 2014.

The Saracen’s Head Hotel

A former coaching in, the Saracen’s Head Hotel has been serving Highworth since 1825. It offers a wide range of wines, Gins and real Ales as well as lovingly prepared home cooked Food.

Accessibility: The Car park is in Brewery St, where there is disabled access.

The Wine Bar

Small historical cellar bar. The entrance is easy to miss tucked down a short alley way off the High Street to the left of the Old Bakery, The Wine Bar has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There are a variety of wines, just as you would expect and also fine ales and beers. There’s live music, regular Jazz evenings, karaoke and open mic nights.

Accessibility: External access is via several steps heading down.

United Kochi is Highworth’s newest restaurant on the High Street, serving traditional Kerala cuisine in an inviting, community-centred atmosphere. United Kochi’s menu features a range of traditional Kerala dishes, including seafood delicacies, vegetarian favourites, biryanis, and rice-based specialities. To offer a truly authentic experience, many dishes are served in traditional clay pots and on banana leaves, just as they would be in Kerala.
